Course Overview

A non-AQF flight training program letting students learn to fly and gain a CASA-issued Private Pilot Licence, starting from core flight skills to navigation and solo flying.

Prerequisites

Minimum age 17 by start; CASA Basic Class 2 or Class 5 Aviation Medical; English language proficiency; Australian Federal Police check for ASIC security.

Modules & Curriculum

Stage 1: Recreational Pilot Licence skills (basic flying); Stage 2: PPL navigation training (cross-country, flight planning, weather and radio procedures).

Assessment Method

CASA theory examination, practical flight tests demonstrating navigation, flight planning, emergency procedures and safe handling.

License/Certification

CASA Private Pilot Licence (PPL) – authorizes VFR private flight anywhere within Australia; not an AQF qualification.
