Training that leads to the Australian Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL-A) as part of the Qantas Group Pilot Academy integrated pathway, giving students the qualifications to fly aircraft commercially under CASA rules.
Must be at least 18 years old at commencement and able to obtain a CASA Class 1 medical certificate; selection process includes aptitude tests, skills test and interview.
Includes CASA-required theory subjects (Aerodynamics, Air Law, Navigation, Meteorology, Human Factors, Flight Planning, Aircraft Knowledge) integrated with practical flying phases; exact training modules are delivered through the Academy and meet CASA standards.
Students complete CASA CPL theory exams and practical flight assessments culminating in the CASA flight test; ongoing Academy assessments align with regulatory requirements.
