A two‑year associate degree that prepares students for careers in aircraft dispatch and flight operations with comprehensive FAA‑aligned training for aircraft dispatcher certification.

Prerequisites

Standard admission into Florida Tech’s associate degree programme (high school completion or equivalent); no prior aviation experience needed; must meet FAA age requirements to pursue certification exams.

Modules & Curriculum

Courses such as Air Traffic Control, Meteorology, Aeronautics, Aerodynamics, airline operation and flight planning designed to build dispatcher competencies and prepare for FAA examinations.

Assessment Method

Combination of academic coursework evaluations, practical lab assessments, flight operations exercises and preparation for FAA written and practical dispatcher exams as part of degree completion.

License/Certification

Associate of Science (A.S.) in Flight Operations and Dispatch and training that satisfies the FAA Aircraft Dispatcher certification training requirement (200 hours).
