An advanced CASA-aligned flight training qualification (AVI50519) that combines multi-engine endorsement with an instrument rating so pilots can command multi-engine aeroplanes under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) for professional roles.
Minimum age 18; valid CASA Class 1 or 2 medical; hold PPL with Night VFR or CPL; at least 10 hours night flight including 5 as PIC; 50 hours cross-country PIC; English proficiency and visa requirements.
14 core units of competency covering IFR planning, instrument navigation, safe flight operations, threat/error management, aircraft systems, instrument approaches and departures, plus one elective unit aligned with vocational outcomes.
Practical demonstrations, verbal Q&A, written exams and training assignments.
