A NZQA Level 6 aviation diploma that builds on general aviation training by providing advanced aeronautical theory including ATPL subjects, basic gas turbine knowledge, and multi‑crew preparation for airline operations.
Must be 18 +, hold aviation Class 1 medical, meet Fit & Proper Person CAANZ requirements, have completed or be completing the NZ Diploma in Aviation (General Aviation) Level 5, pass the ADAPT prescreen test and English proficiency; international students require IELTS or equivalent.
ATPL theory subjects including Air Law, Flight Planning, Navigation, Instruments/Navaids, Meteorology, Advanced Aerodynamics & Systems, Human Factors; basic gas turbine knowledge and multi‑crew integration preparation.
Continuous internal assessments through academic theory testing and aviation competency checks to meet NZQA and CAA standards for airline preparation.
